CSBT Environnement addresses a real issue: the fishing sector currently has no large-scale industrial solution for processing scallop shells.
Since 2002, landfill disposal and incineration have been prohibited. The fishing sector must therefore manage these significant volumes on its own.
Through this initiative, CSBT Environnement assumes a public service role: providing a sustainable solution to a real environmental problem.
No other industrial facility currently processes scallop shells at such a scale. This project represents a major step forward for the circular economy and the development of new French supply chains.
